This growth is expanding both the client base and the team, creating this Assistant Manager opening for someone ready to take on broader portfolio and people responsibility as the firm continues modernising how its outsourcing service is delivered.

Outsourcing Assistant Manager – Responsibilities

Portfolio & Review

• Review bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts, and reconciliations prepared by juniors and seniors
• Assist with preparing and finalising month-end close and management accounts with commentary

Financial Planning Support

• Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for outsourced clients
• Track WIP, budgets, and job recoverability, flagging variances to the Outsourcing Manager

Team & Process

• Help manage team workflow and capacity planning, and support training of juniors
• Contribute to process improvements, standardisation, and automation

Systems & Delivery

• Assist with system implementation, migration, and optimisation projects
• Monitor deadlines, SLAs, and compliance requirements, escalating issues early

Outsourcing Assistant Manager – Requirements

• ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified, or close to qualification
• Solid practice-based outsourcing or accounts experience
• Comfortable reviewing others' work and mentoring junior staff
• Strong Excel and cloud accounting systems skills
• Proactive, with a process-improvement mindset
• Experience managing client relationships directly
