An opportunity has arisen for an experienced practice accountant to join a long-established practice in South Liverpool.

The firm specialises in serving owner-managed businesses throughout Liverpool and the Northwest and they pride themselves on providing an exceptional, proactive service to their clients.

Practice Accountant - Description

As a Practice Accountant, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, managing day-to-day queries and ensuring all compliance and support work is completed efficiently.

Your role will involve client communication with a focus on compliance and support, including client onboarding, year-end accounts, quarterly VAT returns, self-assessment tax returns and CIS returns. You will also handle ad-hoc client inquiries, manage workflow for junior team members, and perform general office duties as required.

Practice Accountant - Responsibilities

·Serve as the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
·Manage client onboarding and communication.
·Prepare and file year-end accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
·Handle self-assessment tax returns
·Process CIS returns and address ad-hoc client inquiries.
·Oversee workflow for junior team members.
·Perform general office duties as needed.

Practice Accountant - Requirements
·Minimum of 3 years working in an accountancy practice.
·ACCA or ACA qualified preferred; AAT qualified minimum.
·Qualified by experience considered.
